Kairi's Keyblade

I've been thinking about this project throughout this past year. The hardest part was finding something sturdy and the right shape to make up the fancy handle. I finally found 2 iron plant hangers that did the trick! The rest of the base is made out of a wooden dowel. I made up the pattern for every part of the keyblade, though I did look at pictures of crocheted flowers and leaves to get ideas, and tweaked things from there.

I've found myself running around my house with this expecting heartless to shoot out of nowhere... they never do. And I continually hold it straight up in the air expecting it to make a sound as though I'm casting a magical spell or something... it never does.

I'll be selling this at Convergence (a convention coming up in July)... Though I must admit that I won't be upset if it doesn't sell because then I'd have a good excuse to do a Kairi Cosplay!
